"Speak the speech, I pray you, as I pronounced it to you, trippingly on the tongue: but if you mouth it, as many of your players do, I had as lief the town-crier spoke my lines. Nor do not saw the air too much with your hand, thus, but use all gently; for in the very torrent, tempest, and, as I may say, the whirlwind of passion, you must acquire and beget a temperance that may give it smoothness. Be not too tame neither, but let your own discretion be your tutor: suit the action to the word, the word to the action; with this special observance, that you o'erstep not the modesty of nature: for any thing so overdone is from the purpose of playing, whose end, both at the first and now, was and is, to hold, as 'twere, the mirror up to nature..." (William Shakespeare, Hamlet, circa 1600)

"PLAY IDEA: perform Macbeth, but when the Witches are doing their prophecy thing, they segue in to telling the story of Hamlet. Hamlet is chatting with the Ghost when it starts telling A Midsummer Night's Dream. The audience becomes slowly aware that the programs and advertisements did not publish a runtime for the performance. Ushers start handing out new programs, with new actors' names on them in previously unmentioned roles. Every single known Shakespearean play is nested inside the performance. The theatre doors are locked." (Tumblr user darinthemadscientist, circa March 2018)

He gets knocked down, but he gets up again, you’re never going to keep him down.

Henry is looking forward to the many other projects that await him later this fall, as he continues to find his niche in Seattle theatre.
Shannon C. Miller (Lights) was recently awarded Best Lighting Design in a Musical by The Sound On Stage for her work on First Date with Centerstage Theatre. Favorite credits include Two Sisters and a Piano at Theater Schmeater, Ghost Train and First Date at Centerstage Theatre. www.SCMlighting.com
Ian Lootens (Sets) is a local set builder/improviser/jack-of-all-trades. Check out his work at The UW school of Drama, ComedySportz Seattle, and Jet City Improv this fall/winter/spring/summer! Congratulations to David and the rest of the team on this fantastic feat!
Luna McMeen (Costumes/Props) is costume designer working primarily in the Seattle area. After graduating from University of Washington, Luna has designed for short films such as Stormy Skies with Dark Skies Productions, and theatrical productions such as Hotdish with Ponyworld, The Participants with Annex Theatre, and Romeo and Juliet with Theatre Battery. Luna would like to thank their wonderful spouse, their family, and their cats for being excellent “helpers” while sewing.
Emily Fortuna (Puppet Master) is thrilled to contribute to making David Gordon's delightful, mind-bending theater-romp of a play a reality! A few of their favorite Seattle area stage credits include The Machine Who Is in Tenderness (Annex), Jenny Sunshine in Truth Like the Sun (Book-It Repertory Theatre), and Thea Elvsted in Hedda Gabler (Harlequin Theatre). Puppets under Emily's control have performed in the Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam, the play Through The Plot Hole, the film Hangry, and as Dash, the official mascot for Flutter. They also are an improviser, act in films, and think plants are the absolute coolest.

Sam Demboski (Stage Manager) is a Seattle-based comedian, writer, artist, and actress. She was most recently seen at SketchFest Seattle, where she took off her pants and made niche jokes about Star Trek. If any of that sounds cool, you can follow her on Instagram (@tvs_hit_spn_drama_hot_angel). By day, she sterilizes surgical instruments. By night, she thinks about how happy she is that you're seeing this show. Yes, she means you. You, reading this right now. Thank you.
